Alas, the snow wasn’t heavy enough, and the air wasn’t cold enough, so nothing stuck to the pavement. Fortunately I knew the location of a huge dirt parking lot where the snow did stick, and I was able to get in a bit of hooning winter car control practice. Not too serious or for too long, largely because I was in full view of a major street. Nevertheless, it was fun.
Hopefully soon there will be enough snow that any normal paved parking lot will work. Also, I should probably run my GoPro case through the dishwasher or something (not sure if it’s dishwasher safe) because the lens cover is filthy and I can’t seem to get it clean.

I too had some AWD muddy snowy fun this weekend. The VR4 got dirty, and it was fun. No video though I just don’t have the camera for it.
Sadly my driver’s side rear “dog leg” trim was sacrificed. Funny thing if this one was securely attached to the car. The passenger side one however has had two broken clips since before I bought the car. You’d think the one that was already broken would be the one to fall off.

“Car control practice” is the only good thing about winter, other than snowboarding, which I haven’t done in years.
That’s the A8 right? (I might be getting confused with someone elses Audi) such a lovely car.

Yup, old A8. I adore this machine.

getting use to the inclement conditions in a safe off road environment, this is something i can actually agree on as you may forget one or two things during summer.
brilliant idea.
